The Graveyard of the Hesperides by Lindsey Davis My rating: 5 of 5 stars Loved it! I simply loved this book! Flavia Albia is getting married. She only has to solve an old murder first: something to do with old bones found in the courtyard of a bar which is being renovated by her fiancé. Nothing much to it? Right? Think again, nothing is ever as simple as it seems.
Nemesis by Lindsey Davis My rating: 5 of 5 stars It took most of 2015 and part of 2016 to finish the entire Falco series. After reading the latest Lindsey Davis book featuring Falco’s daughter Flavia Albia (first in the series: The Ides of April by Lindsey Davis")), I yearned to reread Falco’s story again. Finally Falco, with the help from his closest friends and family, beats his archenemy Anacrites, but it was not an easy road.
The Ides of April by Lindsey Davis My rating: 5 of 5 stars Such joy to find that Lindsey Davis has not stopped writing! Flavia Albia (Falco’s adopted daughter) has taken over the family business as an informer. It’s refreshing to read about Rome through the eyes of a young woman. It feels as if the author - although she had the voice of Falco down pat - is even more capable when writing from the point of view of a woman: how novel ;-)
Recently I started re-reading the Marcus Didius Falco series written by Lindsey Davis. I’ve worked my way back up to the novel Time to Depart 1, and I am enjoying the books as much I ever have! This week, as I am reading the book, I decided to check to see if perhaps a new Davis’ novel has come out. Totally in luck, yes! A new book in her new series!
