A wonderful birthday present!
Bill Bryson takes you by the hand, in all his irresistible grumpiness and he shows you the UK. At times, some of the comments and remarks on current day United Kingdom were a bit repetitive, but overall this book is a joy to read.
I’ve realised that for my next UK trip, I will add more time to walk around, instead of hopping on just another train or bus!
