In real estate, it’s all about location, location, location. But how about books? Does where a book is set affect your reading choices? Are you more or less likely to read books set in places you know or love?Deb, Booking Through Thursday
When I find that a book I’m reading seems to walk me through familiar streets and views, I always get an extra layer of enjoyment. But I have also knowingly picked up books and book series because of their location. Just recently I finished reading the Liebermann Papers by Frank Tallis, all taking place in late 19th century Vienna.
Whenever I go on vacation, I will read up on the country and city history of the area I am visiting, see my previous BTT post Vacation.
However, a good book is a good book, regardless of its location, but sometimes it does add something extra.[Location Location Location, Booking Through Thursday]
